Weave me now, love me later - 2019

This blog post was brought over from my older site. The blog was pulished on January 31, 2019.

I wear wigs and bundles from Everything Jazzy not to hide my identity or that I hate my natural hair. It is actually the complete opposite, by wearing a protective style it is a thankful and grateful gesture to my real hair. I don't have to damage my real hair with harmful heat damage. I'm protecting and preserving my natural hair now as it transitions into my hair goal. Once my hair has reached my hair goal it will be preserved, natural, and beautifully worn out. So please do not get it twisted when you see us black queens rocking protective styles. Majority of us are fixing years and years of the effect of perm from its peak season the 80-90s.

Let’s just face it,our parents have failed us ladies. Never feel bad for doing what you need to do for you and get your hair back on track. All natural kinky hair is in and with perm sales decreasing since 2015 it looks like it is here to stay. I wish hair growing and flourishing on everyone who reads this post. Enjoy and embrace your hair journey and know that everyone hair is different. The most important part to remember when you spend time moisturizing your hair, or during your hair day, is that you thank your hair and strengthen your bond. Your hair is real, your hair is natural, and your hair is you.

I have been rocking Everything Jazzy Hair since 2013.

First cut 2013

At first, I started just rocking sew ins for added lengths and a cute style. I started my natural hair journey seriously back in 2015. My first step I took was back in 2013. I cut my hair into a short style. I wasn't completely natural in 2013 but it was my first step. When I cut my hair I began letting my natural hair breathe, I would wear it out a lot, and do sew ins as well.

Two years later I decided I was giving up the white crack( Perm) for good. My hair started naturally transitioning on its own. My curl pattern had begun to form. My hair was growing slighting but not a lot. During the transition phase, I was wearing sewins and my hair texture completely changed. It was extremely thick, dry and hard to manage.

Natural Hair Texture Coming in 2015

I noticed my hair was still not growing to my liking. I knew it was time to change something. I made my first wig and have been rocking wigs on and off since 2015. I found it easier to moisturize my hair and show it the daily love that it needed by wearing wigs and taking them off at night. It was a miracle for me. My hair had actually started noticeably growing.

Apparently, this was my hair way of letting me know that it loves to be moisturized every day. Although my hair was growing it was still a little too much to manage with my transitioning hair. So I had to cut it again to get as much permed off in 2016.

Time to cut transitioning hair off 2016.

Now my hair is fully transitioned and I love my kinky curls. It is growing more and more every day. I have finally came to peace to love and appreciate my hair flaws and all. Everything Jazzy has just allowed me to tranisiton in peace for years. The reason I wanted to share my story is because I want to inspire everyone to go natural, and love your own hair. I predict that natural hair will be the majority of blacks queens in 10 years. Quote me! So join me and catch the wave ladies. Lets get to transitioning and flourishing.
